The YSL-882OR was developed with Larry Zalkind, former principal trombone of the Utah Symphony Orchestra and professor of trombone at the Eastman School of Music, and features a new Balanced Response Rotor System, reversed tuning slides, and adjustable thumb paddle.

This instrument is designed with the orchestral trombonist in mind; free blowing with a large core sound and consistent timbre throughout ranges and dynamics.
